Voter Registration
|
Dear Community Members,
Over 230 years ago, the United States Constitution guaranteed American citizens the right to vote. This is a Presidential Election Year and we want to make sure that you are eligible to cast your vote so you must be registered in the town and county in which you live.
To register by mail as a Bergenfield voter, send a completed voter registration form to the following address:
Commissioner of Registration
One Bergen Plaza
Room 380
Hackensack, NJ 07601
The following information addresses the most important aspects of voter registration and elections in Bergenfield.
School Board Elections are held on the third Tuesday in April (April 15, 2008) and polls are open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Any US citizen over the age of 18 and residing in Bergenfield for at least 30 days may vote in the school election if you are registered by March 20th of this month. Please download a voter registration form (http://www.nj.gov/oag/elections/voter-registration-application.html) and mail it to the Commissioner of Registration before March 20th.
Sincerely,

Dr. Michael D. Kuchar
Superintendent of Schools
