 Dear Students,
This summer you are required to read one book from the attached list. Most of the books can be found at the Bergenfield Public Library. The attached lists can also be found on the RWB Web site by clicking on the icon "Summer Reading." You must do the following assignment.
- Divide the book into three sections.
Example: If the book is 150 pages, you will read 3 sections of 50 pages each and then write the assignment for that section.
- For each section of the book, do the following assignment:
- Name two important events that took place in this section of the book.
- Tell what changes a character has gone through, or tell what you have learned about the personality of a character in this section of the book.
- Write a letter to a character in the book, and tell him or her how you feel about his or her actions during this section of the book. You letter should be at least two full paragraphs.
Please type your assignment, if possible. You may follow the examples provided. However, if you do type the assignment, each section of the book will fit on one side of the page. Please do not put your work in a folder.
Your language arts teacher will collect the assignment and grade it. It will count as a test grade in September.
